Go East

We’re back. After our parasitological field trip West of Brisbane, we’ve returned. We didn’t find too much. The drought looks like it’s really knocked things around out there. We saw no snakes (dead, alive, or both), and only a few lizards. We found a severely injured Lace Monitor in the middle of the road. It had been run over a few minutes beforehand, so we put it out of its misery, and dissected it. Its intestines were teeming with cestodes, and its stomach was full of nematodes.
