Getting rich quick from a getting rich quick scheme

The Beeb is reporting that the million dollar homepage guy is being blackmailed by nefarious person or persons unknown. Unless he pays them a hefty sum (which he has refused to do) they’ll attack his web site. He’s enlisted the help of a US-based internet security firm to keep his site safe and sound. I like the bit that says:

Preventing denial-of-service attacks can be a costly business but, ever the entrepreneur, Mr Tew is hopeful he can do a deal with his new partner – offering them free ad space in return for them keeping his site up and running.

The guy’s made a million freaking dollars! I think he can hardly claim the struggling student card now.

Thanks to Stewed Thoughts frequent contributor Steve W for the heads up on this story.
