Back from Idalia

I’m back from Idalia National Park. We were meant to leave early on Saturday morning and get back to Brisbane late Saturday night, but it rained on Friday night so the 70 kms of dirt roads leading out of the park were impassable. So we ended up leaving mid morning on Sunday and getting back

We’re home!

Alecia and I arrived back in Australia at about 10 AM yesterday. I had a few issues getting back into the country. I left on a British passport, which I thought was fine, but apparently it’s not. Because I’m an Australian citizen I can’t get any sort of re-entry visa in my passport to show

Nearly (not) home

I’m in the NZ airport at the moment (using a free intenet station thing). The Air New Zealand lady didn’t want to let me on the plane because I don’t have an Australian passport. She had to phone Canberra to make sure I was a ridgey didge Aussie. We’re leaving soon…
