Frogs of Lakefield

As always, feel free to correct any of these identifications (this means you, Beth and K-ris and Ed!).

Litoria pallida

Cyclorana australis

A spotty green tree frog

Desert tree frog (Litoria rubella)

Marbled frog (Limnodynastes convexiusculus)

Looks like some sort of rocket frog to me

Is this a rather plain ornate burrowing frog (Limnodynastes ornatus)?

Four green tree frogs (Litoria caerulea) and one Litoria rothi on a leaking water tap. This isn’t a particularly good pic, but it shows an interesting subject.

  1. Betho says:

Could that first frog be the newly designated Litoria jungguy?

  2. Stewart says:

    Hi Betho,

Another frog friend of mine suggests it’s probably Litoria pallida.

  3. Ryan says:

You have a friend who’s a frog? Maybe you’re loosing it in the tropics there.

  4. Stewart says:

I lost it a while back.

  5. Scott Eipper says:

    Stewart,

That is not Litoria junguy (nor a wilcoxi…way to far north for them, they seem to stop about Townsville)

Your friend is correct that is Litoria pallida.
