Last night we went for a bit of a drive, and found some cool critters.

Scrub python (Morelia kinghorni)

Tawny frogmouth (Podargus strigoides)

A tawny frogmouth (Podargus strigoides) on a termite mound in Lakefield National Park.

Whistling Kite. Where I live we get mostly Black kites, which are only slightly larger and darker but distinctly less vocal, and have a forked instead of rounded tail; I do see and hear a few whistlers though.
Thanks John!
