		<description>Well that was a surprise - my name and email already there, plainly waiting for a comment to be posted.

I compared your skink with mine to see if it was the same individual, but no, the patterns have differences. That would have been a beaut coincidence. But the two skinks certainly seem to be the same species (you probably remember my interest in the species options for my sighting at the time). Glad you finally got to see one. As for the leeches... leeches, shmeeches, I say! I&#039;ve discovered that if you polish your boots with Dubbin shoe polish, the leeches leave you alone for most of the day, or until it gets worn off. Other shoe polishes might also work, but Dubbin is the only one I&#039;ve used for my bush-walking boots, so I can&#039;t speak for any others.
